Q:
How Far Do We Tow?
A: We tow to and from other states such as Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, Texas, and Nebraska.
If you break down in Wichita and want to be towed back home it will cost you the same as if you were towed from home to Wichita.
Q: Why should I want a flatbed to tow my car?
A: Many cars on the road today have low clearance front
ends making a damage-free wheel lift hookup difficult. Most rear wheel drive vehicles require the drive shaft to be removed
during a tow with the drive wheels on the ground. Rollback (Flatbed) towing uses the shipping slots that the manufacturers
put in the cars for tranporting them to the dealerships. Some cars such as Mercedes, Porsches, BMW's and Mini-Coopers require
special tools and straps instead of, or in addition to the shipping slots.
Q: Why is it so expensive
for towing?
A1: A fully licensed and properly insured towing business faces high insurance costs, labor costs,
equipment costs, and fuel costs. The average flatbed like the ones we run in Wellington cost $65,000-$70,000.
A2: The perception is that towing companies are charging an arm and a leg to go 2 or 3 miles, but in reality it is
the time involved with reaching the vehicle, loading the vehicle, towing the vehicle, unloading the vehicle, and then the
return trip back to home base.
Q: Why are police tows more expensive?
A: We have to meet certain criteria
such as insurance, building requirements, quick estimated time of arrivals, and we also have to do additional clerical work
such as paperwork, phone calls, and multiple meetings with insurance agents, vehicle owners, and law enforcement agencies.
Q: How do I get my car back if it has been impounded?
A: You need to contact the Impounding Law Enforcement
Agency(s) and Towing Company to find out what you need to get it out. We require that all holds be released by the agencies
involved, proof of ownership (we release the vehicle and its contents only to the registered owner), picture ID, CASH payment,
and that any special conditions placed by the impounding agency be met by the customer.
For our safety, we only
release vehicles from 8:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. Monday-Friday unless special arrangements have been previously arranged.
